NFL Week 10 Takeaways

It’s a good day to pop the champagne in Miami.

Not just because there are no more unbeaten teams to threaten the 1972 Dolphins record, but because the Phins keep on rolling.

Here’s what we learned this week.

Panthers defeat Falcons 25-15

Boy, Amazon paid a whole bunch of money for Thursday Night Football games and they sure haven’t gotten their money’s worth.

These games have been rough.

Much like the Falcons last couple of weeks ever since they ended up with a legitimate shot to win the NFC South.

Might be Desmond Ridder time…

Buccaneers defeat Seahawks 21-16

The Bucs were a few seconds away from falling to 3-6 last week.

An old QB going through personal issues, a bad record. It had a chance to implode.

But they came back and won, and they came out Sunday morning flying as well.

The Bucs look like they have new life, and considering a questionable NFC and an easy division, we might see quite a resurgence.

Let this be a lesson to the league that somehow teams still haven’t learned.

You can’t give Tom Brady teams a pulse.

Vikings defeat Bills 33-30

Game of the year.

It had everything I could possibly want in a football game.

Lots of points, ridiculous catches, unbelievably stupid turnovers.

It was like a college game.

Please give us a Vikings and Bills Super Bowl, because I could watch that game forever.

Titans defeat Broncos 17-10

The offensive line is bad.

Nathaniel Hackett’s play calling is bad.

Russell Wilson is missing wide open throws.

The Broncos are a disaster, which is a huge shame because their defense deserves much better.

In fact, if the Broncos offense simply scored 18 points in each game this season, they’d be 8-1.

That’s it. 18 points.

Denver’s defense has to be upset.

Lions defeat Bears 31-30

Justin Fields has officially started to look like a top level NFL QB, and the Bears still couldn’t hold on and win.

Good for the Lions, though.

Dan Campbell deserves some wins.

Chiefs defeat Jaguars 27-17

With Mahomes fantastic game and Allen’s struggles, Mahomes has officially taken over the MVP race.

But it’s not a runaway…

Dolphins defeat Browns 39-17

And that’s because of how Tua is playing.

Don’t laugh. I’m serious.

Let me put it this way.

There was a chance the Broncos could have hired Mike McDaniel.

If McDaniel went to Denver and had the success with Russell Wilson he’s having with Tua, Russ would 1000% be an MVP favorite.

Tua deserves the exact same amount of respect for how he’s done this season.

And if I hear one more person say “He DoEsN’t ThRoW dEeP” I might explode.

He’s good.

Just accept that.

Giants defeat Texans 24-16

The Giants hardly ever look impressive, but they win.

All that matters, really.

Steelers defeat Saints 20-10

Why are the Saints still starting Andy Dalton?

Jameis could not possibly do worse.

Colts defeat Raiders 25-20

Josh McDaniel didn’t work in Denver.

He’s not working in Vegas.

The Raiders might as well just bite the bullet and move on.

This team should be a lot better than it is.

Packers defeat Cowboys 31-28

I still don’t think the Packers are very good.

I still think the Cowboys are good.

I just think the Cowboys are cursed against Aaron Rodgers and will never win.

It happens.

Cardinals defeat Rams 27-17

The Rams sold their soul for that Super Bowl last year.

But as a Rams fan friend of mine said on Saturday, “worth it.”

49ers defeat Chargers 22-16

The Chargers lose another very winnable game.

And considering the upcoming schedule for the Niners, I’d say it’s easily their NFC West to lose.

Commanders defeat Eagles 32-21

The Eagles don’t have a very tough schedule, so this loss is surely going to raise a lot of questions about their legitimacy.

It shouldn’t.

The Eagles are still good, but they aren’t perfect. They were due a bad game.

And it’s not surprising that their bad game happened, not only in a divisional game, but an NFC East primetime game.

These games are continuously a nightmare for everyone.

And we still just keep putting them on…

Was it a good week?

Good Games: Seahawks vs Buccaneers, Vikings vs Bills, Lions vs Bears, Colts vs Raiders, Cowboys vs Packers

Bad Games: Broncos vs Titans

It was a great week!

To be quite honest, even if there were more bad games than good games this week, the Vikings and Bills game was so good that it would have been a good week regardless.

The good weeks have overtaken the bad weeks 7-3.

It’s been a very, very fun year so far.
