NFL Takeaways: Week 10

There are, surprisingly, a lot of teams very much still in the playoff hunt after week 10.

Even the 3-6 Dolphins are right there!

Let’s dive into it.

Ravens defeat Bengals 35-34

Lamar Jackson is absurdly good.

All there is to it.

He’s a freak.

As for the Bengals, late In the game they threw deep on 3rd and 2. No big deal. Clear sign they’ll go for it on 4th down. Might as well take a shot.

But then they threw deep again on 4th and 2, when underneath routes were working all night long.

It was weird.

Panthers defeat Giants 20-17

The Saints were falling apart, and the Giants stink too, but you can only play who’s in front of you.

The Panthers needed these two wins.

These are nice wins for Dave Canales and Bryce Young.

Steelers defeat Commanders 28-27

I don’t know if the Steelers are true Super Bowl contenders or not.

I do know this, though.

Russell Wilson’s moonball touchdowns are back, and boy, did I miss them.

They’re still beautiful.

Patriots defeat Bears 19-3

Maybe it’s Caleb’s rookie struggles. Maybe it’s the offensive line. Maybe it’s coaching.

I’m not sure.

But I know that Drake Maye has looked better with worse weapons and an equally bad offensive line.

I’m not saying Caleb is a bust by any means.

But it does look like Drake Maye is a baller.

Bills defeat Colts 30-20

The Colts switched from Anthony Richardson to Joe Flacco because Flacco was simply running the offense and taking care of the football.

And then Flacco had 4 turnovers including a pick six in a Colts loss.

Not exactly what they were looking for.

Chiefs defeat Broncos 16-14

The Chiefs have some devil magic.

They’re going to win the Super Bowl again, and there’s nothing we can do about it.

Saints defeat Falcons 20-17

We have the new coach bump AND a divisional rivalry.

This was destined to be an upset win for the Saints.

49ers defeat Buccaneers 23-20

The Niners won, and Purdy played really well, but yeesh.

McCaffery looked rusty. Jake Moody missed three field goals. Deebo Samuel was hitting the long snapper. The defense got penalty after penalty on the final drive.

It was messy.

Vikings defeat Jaguars 12-7

This game sucked.

Chargers defeat Titans 27-17

Jim Harbaugh has molded the Chargers into his style of play almost immediately.

He really is a great coach.

Excited to see how the Chargers find a way to screw it up.

Eagles defeat Cowboys 34-6

The whole “Cooper Rush was 4-1 the last time Dak was hurt!” discourse was cute and all but, come on people.

Did we really think this was going to go any different?

What I didn’t expect was for Micah Parsons to call out his coach post game.

But Dallas loves their noise.

Cardinals defeat Jets 31-6

The Cardinals are good.

The Jets stink.

I’m not entirely sure how well the Jets were favored in this one.

Lions defeat Texans 26-23

The Lions won a game where their quarterback played absolutely horribly.

These are not the Detroit Lions I grew up watching and feeling sorry for.

I feel comfortable saying they are clearly the best team in the NFC.

Dolphins defeat Rams 23-16

Tua is back and the Dolphins schedule is lightening up a bit.

They won’t make the playoffs…….will they?
