NFL Takeaways: Week 13

Photo from Joe Nicholson from USA Today

Boy, there are a lot of bad teams fighting for the 7 seed in both conferences.

This will (hopefully) be a fun end to the season.

Here’s what we learned in week 13.

Cowboys defeat Saints 27-17

Nothing like a nice matchup against Taysom Hill to get back into the groove for Dallas.

Buccaneers defeat Falcons 30-17

Tom Brady is 44 years old and just threw 51 passes in a game.

Screw arm management. Go nuts, Tommy.

Cardinals defeat Bears 33-22

Are the Cardinals the quietest good team in a while?

There’s a lot of talk about the Packers, Rams and Cowboys, but the Cards are right there with all of them.

I don’t think they mind, to be honest.

Chargers defeat Bengals 41-22

Theeeere’s the Justin Herbert we’ve been used to the past couple years.

The 2nd year quarterback had a tremendous game against a very good team.

Lions defeat Vikings 29-27

THE LIONS DID IT!!!!

And boy, if it isn’t just perfect that the team who gave them their first win in a year was the Vikings as time expired.

A stoppable force met a movable object.

Dolphins defeat Giants 20-9

Don’t look now, but Tua is actually starting to look good.

It’s almost like quarterbacks don’t need to be flawless from the get go to end up being good quarterbacks.

Strange.

Eagles defeat Jets 33-18

The Jets getting torched by a backup QB with a defensive minded head coach isn’t a great look, is it?

Colts defeat Texans 31-0

I didn’t watch this game.

And you shouldn’t have either unless you are a Colts fan or a Texans fan.

Or, you are a degenerate gambler.

I hope not, though.

Washington defeats the Raiders 17-15

Washington keeps winning.

They find wacky ways to do so, and without their best defensive player.

But they do.

Rams defeat Jaguars 37-7

The Jags not only lose a lot, but Urban Meyer seems completely clueless about everything going on.

He should just go away, to be honest.

Steelers defeat Ravens 20-19

The Ravens offense is really struggling as of late, and I simply think it’s all the injuries catching up to them.

They’ve lasted a long time winning close games, but the writing is officially on the wall.

This isn’t a Super Bowl team.

Not this season, at least.

Seahawks defeat 49ers 30-23

Hahahahahahahahahahaha this garbage Seahawks team beat the Niners twice this season hahahahahahahahahaha.

Chiefs defeat Broncos 22-9

The Chiefs have finally turned things around, all on the backs of their…….defense?

Yeah! Their defense!

The offense is still pretty broken, though. Keep an eye on that.

Patriots defeat Bills 14-10

The fun thing about college football as opposed to the NFL is that college fans see a disgusting and windy snow game and are excited about it like a bunch of sociopaths while purist NFL fans want pristine playing conditions at all times for their high performance athletes.

Live a little, nerds.

This game was hilarious. Appreciate it.
