This is the best college football season since 2007.

I don’t have an intro. I just love this sport so much.

5. Florida State Seminoles

I love petty wins.

Sam Howell, the quarterback for North Carolina, was previously a Florida State commit. He saw UNC was on the up and up and Florida State was headed towards a downturn and decided to switch his commitment to UNC.

He wasn’t technically wrong. Florida State isn’t very good. UNC is promising.

But last year and this year, despite being the worst team, Florida State won the game and made Howell look weak.

I love petty wins.

4. Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Wake Forest is 6-0 for the first time since 1944.

That’s right. The last time Wake Forest was 6-0, World War II was still happening.

77 years. What a season Wake is having.

3. Ole Miss Rebels/Arkansas Razorbacks

Ole Miss won the game, but both teams belong here thanks to an incredible game that reminded the world that football is more fun when both teams score a boatload of points and it comes down to one final play.

Take that, Georgia vs Clemson, you snoozefest.

2. Oklahoma Sooners

If you asked me about Oklahoma’s playoff chances during the Red River Shootout, I would have told you they had no chance.

Honestly, if you asked me before the game even began I would have told you they have no chance.

I didn’t see any way in which they went undefeated with the way Spencer Rattler was playing.

But with one switch to freshman quarterback Caleb Williams, they revitalized their chances entirely.

The offense performed much better and led an incredible comeback against Texas in one of the most underrated rivalry games in college football.

1. Texas A&M Aggies

You may remember last week that I said Aggies’ fans should probably stop trash talking until their team loaded with recruits and money wins something of consequence.

I guess an upset victory over number 1 Alabama counts as something of consequence.

Quarterback Zach Calzada played a great game, and every time it looked like Bama was starting to do what Bama does best and turn it up to 11, A&M punched right back and didn’t falter.

So go ahead and celebrate, you crazy cult school.

You earned this one!
